Co-Founders

I'm briefly coming up for air.  I've been working on short-term project; I'm neck deep in code optimization.

I was talking about co-founders today during lunch with my wife.  Lately I've been giving a lot of thought to the attributes of the "perfect" startup team.  I've been looking around at the various successful web startups and haven't come to any conclusions yet, but Dharmesh Shah has a good post about the things to consider when selecting co-founders.

Twitter on CSI

On last night's episode of CSI the investigators read a victim's tweets to find out what she'd been doing prior to her death.  It's amazing how quickly Twitter has been absorbed into the collective.

Prelude to a Defrag Debrief

I went to the Defrag Conference and had a great time.  I wish Heather could’ve been there too.  We decided that next year she will go even if we have to take the boys with us and split our time at the conference.

I’d like to blog all of my thoughts about the conference, but it’ll have to wait until I get some of my higher priority stuff done.  I was hoping to blog during the conference, but my computer got sick so I was relegated to tweeting via my Blackjack.

Anyway, it was a great conference with a bunch of super smart people (both speaking and attending).  And, I got a t-shirt from Me.dium that says, “there’s pr0n on my widget.”  What could be better?

Tweeting My Way Through Defrag

I'll be tweeting my way through Defrag so I can keep my wife up-to-date while at the conference.  Heather isn't able to go to Defrag because we couldn't arrange for our sons to have a sitter for four days (two days for the conference and two for travel).  I'm going to miss her while I'm gone <sniff>.
