A brief, funny anecdote from family life…
I have two young sons; a two year old and a four year old. On Sunday morning, my wife went for a run and I stayed home to watch the boys. The boys had been quietly playing together while I was cleaning the kitchen. Then, I heard my oldest son say, “Daddy can you come in here?”
So, I went to his room. It was a surreal and hilarious scene. Our dog’s kennel is in my oldest son’s room; that's where she sleeps at night. Both boys were in the kennel with the door closed and latched and the dog was sitting at the foot of the bed looking at them. Although the boys had latched themselves in, they couldn't figure out how to unlatch the door from inside of the kennel. It was hilarious to see the boys stuck in the kennel and the dog just sitting there with a goofy expression. I unlatched the kennel and let the boys out, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the presence of mind to run get the camera before I let them out. Opportunity lost!
